Chair – Rob Morgan (Suppliers and Manufacturers)
Rob Morgan owns and operates a refrigeration and air-conditioning wholesale company in Auckland. Rob is a Refrigeration Engineer by trade and has completed a Certificate of Business through Massey University.

Deputy Chair – Rodger Wyatt (HVAC Mechanical Services)
Rodger was a Member of RACCA for about 20 years now known as CCCA and a partner at Beattie Air/Service/Energy group. Also a Member of IRHACE for over 20 years and is currently on Council as Immediate Past President. Refrigeration and air conditioning engineer with Advanced Trade Certificate (L5 equivalent). A Co-organiser of the Refrigerant Training Levy and has been involved and assisted with training for our industry since 1991.

Stephen Boyle (Refrigeration)
Stephen is a fully qualified Refrigeration Engineer having served a full apprenticeship going to service and install a wide range of supermarket and commercial refrigeration customers before emigrating to NZ from Ireland in 1991. Stephen has worked for various companies within his trade and outside, been self employed in his time in NZ and has held the positions of Auckland area Service Manager, Key Account Manager, Farm Manager and is currently employed at White Refrigeration as a Contracts Manager.

Bob Batenburg (Ventilation)
Bob has a solid background in the building industry in New Zealand with more than 20 years experience. Bob graduated from Auckland University with a BE(hons) in Chemical and materials engineering. His work experience covers businesses such as New Zealand Steel, Royal Dutch Nedlloyd, Bank of New Zealand and Winstone Wallboards. Bob gradually moved into the marketing field and now has over 15 years marketing experience under his belt, with the majority being in the building industry sector. Under Bob’s leadership at Winstone Wallboards a number of marketing awards were won. Bob has also spent 3 years on the Research Guidance Committee for Beacon Pathway which has given him good experience in the process of lobbying and the fight for change. Bob has excellent building industry contacts including with organisations such as BRANZ, EECA, Scion and Beacon Pathway. The last 3 years have been spent in the heating and ventilation industry with DVS Ltd (a Fletcher Building company) where he is now General Manager Business Development. In this role he was instrumental in pulling together the ventilation industry group that is now in the process of joining the CCCA.

John Kelly (Heat Pumps)
John is a founding owner and Managing Director of Heat Pump Air Conditioning Limited, a company which was established in 1986. He has been in the HVAC Industry for the past 43 years, starting out an apprentice at Pierson Refrigeration in Christchurch. He is a fully qualified Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer holding a New Zealand Advanced Trade Certificate in Refrigeration , an Electrical Service Technicians Certificate and is an Independently Qualified Person (IQP 175). Since 2001 his company has mainly specialised in the heat pump air conditioning industry but as John is interested in all aspects of his trade and is passionate about using sustainable, clean energy and moving new ideas forward HPAC is now diversifying other aspects of home heating such as Heat Recovery, Solar Heating and Ground Source heat pump technology.

Darren Rawnsley (IRHACE Interlocutory Rep)
Darren has 28 Years Experience in the Refrigeration Industry from Apprentice to Senior Management. Darren was accepted to National Council in 2011. Joined the Auckland Branch committee in 2005 and was voted in Secretary 2007. In 2009 he was voted Auckland Branch Chairman and has been an IRHACE member since 1997. Darren works as a National Contracts Manager for McAlpine Hussmann Ltd.

Grant Price (co-opted)
Grant Price is a Business owner and graduate of the University of Auckland Engineering School. Starting out in manufacturing, Grant held various General Management manufacturing positions, before becoming embedded in the construction industry. Through training and experience in professional theatre, forestry, AC equipment manufacture and unit mass production Grant brings a creative diversity to executive and governance roles. Grant has been the President of the HVAC Contractors Association for the past four years and is Managing Director of Heatwave Mechanical and the Establishment Chair of the CCCA.

Greg McCarthy (co-opted)
Greg McCarthy is a Contracts Manager for Aquaheat Industries and has 23 years in the HVAC industry with a NZ Certificate in Engineering-Mechanical and has completed the ICEHOUSE "Leading and managing for Growth Programme" in 2007.
Greg is a Past President of the NZ Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Contractors Association and is an HVAC representative on the NZ Subcontractors Federation (now rebranded as the Specialist Trade Contractors Federation)
