RACCA (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Companies Association) and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning) Contractors Association join forces.
RACCA, the association devoted to the business betterment of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning industry. RACCA has industry knowledge and business intelligence within its foundations and a strong code of ethics which it employs to support its members hence enabling them to continually strive for improvement within the industry.
H.V.A.C Contractors Association a body representing the commercial interest of mechanical services subcontractors in New Zealand. H.V.A.C. Contractors Association provides a forum to discuss and coordinate the views of its members in an informed environment.
“This is a much-anticipated move to strengthen the industry’s company associations by merging them into one united organisation”, says the chair for the establishment board Grant Price.
The CCCA’s mission is to “establish and promote high standards of business competence and industry conduct for companies engaging in the climate controlled environment industry”.
The structure of the organisation is to provide focus for the various industry sector groups as well as well as through participation on the governing board. The sector groups given recognition include: Mechanical services including heating and air conditioning; Refrigeration, Heat pumps, Ventilation, Suppliers and wholesalers.
The board will address industry-wide issues at the national level and the various sector groups can focus on issues pertinent to their sectors.
The official launch will occur at the inaugural CCCA Conference scheduled 26-29 October this year in Queenstown. Election of the board will take place at the conference. In the meantime, an Establishment Board comprise of Grant Price (Chair), Malcolm Clark, Matthew Darby, Greg McCarthy and Rob Morgan, have been developing the Rules, strategic plan and starting budget.
